B. Permitted Uses of the S&T Club Facilities
FCHOA Facilities & Amenities Rules & Regulations - Revision Date: 2023-09-28
The S&T Club facilities may be used by and for the following functions in accordance with Section III. C. (Page 11) Scheduling, and Section V, A. (Page 20) Charges and Fees for Use of Facilities. All events must be sponsored by an FCHOA member who will be in attendance during the entire event.
1. FCHOA Board and Standing Committees, Clubs, Service and Interest Groups.
2. Approved Activities for Children: Activities which have been approved by the Colony Kids club (or the Activities Committee Executive Board, if the Colony Kids club is not available), which are open to all children or grandchildren of FCHOA members (incidental participation by children outside of Ford’s Colony is permitted so long as their participation does not preclude any FCHOA member child from attending). Such Activities may charge a fee for attendance (primarily to cover costs of material and sponsor(s) time).
3. Block Parties: Functions open to all FCHOA members living on identified streets or in sub-divisions within Ford’s Colony. Block parties for designated facilities. (Fees may apply. /See Exhibit I.)
4. Family| Social | Private Functions: An FCHOA member may use the facilities for these functions, i.e.; for their immediate family (children, grandchildren, parents, and grandparents) or for other FCHOA members. For example, a wedding reception when either the bride or groom is a member of the immediate family, a social gathering of friends from school, church, etc. (Fees may apply. /See Exhibit I.)
5. Business| Charity | Private Outside Organization Functions: A business function, charity organization, such as a seminar, luncheon, etc. See Exhibit II. After application for and approval by the ACEB, a charity (defined as a charitable organization qualified under Internal Revenue Service Code and applicable statutes of Virginia) may hold one event per calendar year, subject to space and may not repeat more than two years consecutively when other charities are on the waiting list. The ACEB may sanction as many as four (4) charity events for the use of the facilities per year. Events seeking to use the common areas of Ford’s Colony other than the S&T Club and Westbury Park are subject to the policy adopted by the FCHOA Board. (Fees may apply. /See Exhibit II)

6. The Management Agent: The MA is permitted to hold up to four meetings a year in the facilities for purposes of training and to build morale. The Management Agent may also use facilities to host events that are presented by the Community Associations Institute (CAI) or its local chapter.
