ACEB

Activities Committee Executive Board. The officers of the Activities Committee as specified in its Charter.


Activities Committee (AC)


Standing Committee of the FCHOA Board of Directors.


Activities and Recreation Manager (ARM)

The designated employee of the Management Agent responsible for operations of the facilities in accordance with these Rules and Regulations.

Chaperone

A chaperone, age 18 and older is required to supervise functions for minors. A chaperone age 21 and older is required to supervise a function in which alcohol is available.


Charter

A document submitted to the ACEB by a recognized Ford’s Colony Interest Group at the end of their first year that stipulates their social, cultural, educational, recreational or service purpose or mission and identifies their manner of organization and operation.


Club

A Club is an organized group of FCHOA members who have submitted a written Charter that stipulates their social, cultural, educational, or recreational or service purpose or mission to be shared with other members that has been Recognized and Approved by the Activities Committee. Each Club provides one voting representative to the Activities Committee.


Common Area Amenities

Leisure trail, Nature trail, Multi-Use Fields at Westbury Park and Red Berkshire, Gordon Creek Kayak Launch, Williamsburg West Pond


Facilities

An all-inclusive term referring to all of the recreational buildings and grounds associated within the Ford’s Colony Homeowners Association: S&T Club, Westbury Park, Community Services Building.

Individual FCHOA Member and immediate family members

FCHOA Guests

Guests that are temporary visitors of FCHOA members.


FCHOA Members

Property owners in Ford’s Colony at Williamsburg. For the purpose of defining eligibility for use of facilities and amenities, the term includes property owners in good-standing and those non-property owners who are renting or occupying a residence in compliance with the current covenants of the association. The term also includes other occupants of the residence of the property owner who have the same principal residence in Ford’s Colony.


Interest Group

An Interest Group is a newly organized group of FCHOA members who have submitted a written document that stipulates their social, cultural, educational, or recreational purpose, to be shared with other FCHOA members that has been Recognized by the Activities Committee. Each Interest Group provides one non-voting representative to the Activities Committee.


An Interest Group may petition the Activities Committee Executive Board (ACEB) for Club or Service Group status after one-year of demonstrated continuity of its recognized activities. A request to become an Approved Club or Service Group must be submitted with a proposed charter to the Activities Committee at the end of the year following initial Recognition. Once ACEB has approved the request, then the Group is presented to the Activities Committee for a vote.

Recognized and Approved

Action taken by vote of the Activities Committee to accept a Club or Service Group as a represented member of the Committee.


Service Group

A Service Group is an organized group of FCHOA members who have submitted a written charter that stipulates how their service group members will provide programs and services to the FCHOA members of Ford’s Colony and have been Recognized and Approved by the Activities Committee. A Service Group may request financial assistance from the Activities Committee to achieve their mission. Each Service Group provides one voting representative to the Activities Committee.


Smoking

The use of products emitting smoke or visible vapor, including but not limited to tobacco, marijuana, hemp, and synthetic/natural components intended for inhalation/exhalation other than breathing.


Sponsor FCHOA member who co-contracts for the use of a facility with a non-FCHOA Member or organization
