E. Chaperones

FCHOA Facilities & Amenities Rules & Regulations - Revision Date: 2023-09-28


1.A chaperone, age 18 and older is required to supervise functions for minors. A chaperone age 21 and older is required to supervise a function in which alcohol is available.


2.     Fornon-FCHOA sponsored events for minors, one chaperone shall be present for every 10 minors. Any function hosted for more than fifty youths between the ages of10 and 17 must always have either an off-duty Ford’s Colony Security officer or uniformed officer acceptable to the FCHOA’s Chief of Security present monitoring the activities taking place at the function and around the building. The cost for this security will be borne by the host. When a Ford’s Colony Security officer is used, the expense must be paid in advance of the event. Additional uniformed officers or uniformed officers for events not specifically described above may be deemed necessary at the discretion of the Ford’s Colony Chief of Security at the request of the Activities and Recreation Manager.


3.     Chaperones shall be responsible for ensuring that all Rules and Regulations are followed and enforced. This responsibility applies to activities anywhere within the FCHOA facilities, including the parking lots.


4.     All chaperones must be present at least 30 minutes before the function begins and remain until all participants have left the facilities.


5.    For family, social or private functions, the FCHOA member host must remain at the function as a chaperone during the entire function. If additional chaperones or Security/Uniformed officers are required, the FCHOA member host will make the arrangements and include the chaperones' names on the guest list.
